This 495ci stroker V8 and TH400 three-speed automatic transmission were removed from a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that was purchased by the seller on BaT in November 2024. The engine was torn down after excessive oil consumption was discovered, and the piston rings, valve seals, and rear main seal were replaced.
